Englewood Arts

Englewood Arts Presents

Inspired by the late Mayor of Englewood Olga Wolosyn’s passionate desire to bring arts experiences to the greater Englewood community, Englewood Arts has been presenting various productions for the past nine years. The Englewood Civic Center’s beautiful atrium and adjoining Community Room served as the performance venues until 2005, when Hampden Hall opened with the annual “Back to Bach” concert. Our debut concert was “Rhapsody at Englewood Civic Center” performed on January 30, 2000, by the Up Close and Musical ensemble, featuring piano soloist Jeff Shoemaker in Gershwin’s "Rhapsody in Blue."

Although chamber ensembles of Colorado Symphony musicians are involved in a majority of the concerts, Englewood Arts Presents has included a variety of other local artists, including Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra, Marta Burton (Celtic songs), Extasis Tango Ensemble, the Spirituals Project, Colorado Baroque Ensemble, and others.
